1. Bond's Third Law of Comminution

Fred C. Bond established that the work required to reduce particle size from 80% passing feed (F80) to 80% passing product (P80) is proportional to the crack length produced: W (kWh/t) = 10 Γ— Wi Γ— [ (1 / √P80) - (1 / √F80) ] Where Wi is the Bond Ball Mill Work Index (kWh/t).
